JOBSEEKERS who want to work in a caring profession are urged to attend a health and social care careers fair where plenty of employment opportunities will be available.
Organisations from across the borough are coming together to hold a joint Careers Fair, at Dukinfield Town Hall on 8 March, 3pm to 7pm.
This event is for anyone interested in starting a new job, wanting to improve their work or considering a change in career. No advance booking needed.
Representatives from Tameside Hospital, Manchester University Medical School, additional universities and colleges, care agencies, Tameside social care and GPs will be at the careers fair. Employers are on the lookout for a range of skills including admin, media, management, catering and building management, not just the ability to care.
Health and social care organisations are the largest employers in Tameside and they are always looking for new people who want to make Tameside a safe and healthy place to live.
There will be many new roles in health and social care, and plenty of opportunities to find a new direction in life.
Cllr Eleanor Wills, Tameside Council Executive Member for Population Health and Wellbeing, said: “Whether you want to work as front line support staff, in finance, or IT there are vacancies available for you across our health and social care organisations. We’re lucky to have such a broad caring sector in Tameside and if you’re looking for a job opportunity, I encourage you to head to Dukinfield Town Hall on 8 March.”
