Adult Social Worker Recruitment Roadshows Return

JOB vacancies for social workers will be showcased at Tameside Council’s upcoming Adults Services Recruitment roadshow, providing an opportunity for interested candidates to be interviewed for roles on the day.

Following the success of previous events, the council has released its next series of Adult Services Recruitment Roadshows. Interested candidates will have the chance to talk to current colleagues from the Integrated Urgent Care and Neighbourhood teams to find out more about the role and what it is like to work at Tameside.

Eligible candidates will also have the chance to be interviewed for roles they are interested in on the day. Those who are successful will be immediately offered a job.

Cllr John Taylor, Executive Member for Adult Social Care said: ‘’Our last event was an amazing success where people had the unique opportunity to be interviewed for open roles on the very same day.

‘’If you’re a passionate and driven social worker looking to provide vital support to help Tameside’s adults, please attend one of our events. Even if it is only to find out more about what it is like to work at Tameside.’’

The Upcoming Adult Social Worker Recruitment Roadshows will be held on Level one of Tameside One, Ashton-under-lyne, OL6 6BH. Each even runs from 10am until 2pm on:

Tuesday 5th September

Tuesday 3rd October

Tuesday 7th November

Tuesday 5th December

To process job offers those attending must bring:

• Proof of Social Work degree qualifications, including certificates.
• Proof of Social Work England Registration.
• Up to date CV which includes full contact details for two referee’s (one must be your last employer. Personal referees will not be accepted)
• Right to work documents – you will need either a passport or birth certificate along with proof of National Insurance.  Candidates from outside the UK should bring their passport and Biometric Residency Permit or any other document issued via the home office detailing their right to work in the UK.
• DBS documents – Three documents from this list passport/birth certificate/proof of National Insurance/Biometric Residency Permit (where applicable)/driving licence/bank statement or utility bill with candidate’s name dated within the last three months.
