Due to high demand, the Tameside Through the Seasons calendar competition is making its return for 2025 to encourage Tameside residents to capture the beauty of the borough.
The competition, organised by Tameside Council working with Tameside Community Champions, began in 2023 and after two successful years it has been relaunched for 2025.
The project gives residents a chance to explore their communities and other parts of the borough they may not have seen before, all whilst taking a shot at featuring in the 2025 version of the Tameside Through the Seasons calendar.
Each season has its own deadline; with the Winter deadline being 13 March, Spring 12 June, Summer 11 September and Autumn 6 November 2024.
Once the final entry is received, a panel of judges including community champions will select the winners.
To showcase the winning images a celebration event and exhibition will be held at the Portland Basin Museum for the third year in a row.
Tameside Council Assistant Executive Member for Culture, Heritage and Digital Inclusivity Cllr Sangita Patel said: “It is wonderful to see such a positive project return for another year, as it gives residents the perfect opportunity to get active and explore our greenspaces, beauty spots and hidden gems in the borough.
“From the past two successful calendars we have seen how there are so many residents with incredible photography skills, and this gives everyone another a chance to win a feature in our calendar.”
