A new initiative is providing support to Tameside residents facing financial difficulties following the rising cost of living, connecting people with local services who can help.
Tameside Council has enhanced its Customer Services with the introduction of navigators based at Tameside One. These navigators are available to help individuals access the necessary support to enhance their financial situation.
The navigators play a vital role in connecting residents with both council services and external organisations who can help. Any residents who are having concerns about their financial situation can drop into Tameside One during normal opening hours and the navigators will be happy to assist.
Councillor Eleanor Wills, Tameside Council Executive Member for Population Health and Wellbeing, said: "Our goal is to support residents who are struggling financially and create lasting solutions. The new navigators show our commitment to providing comprehensive support and building resilience within our community."
For further information or to contact a navigator, residents can reach out via email at navigators@tameside.gov.uk, or visit the reception at Tameside One. Alternatively, residents can contact the council’s main contact centre on 0161 342 8355 and one of the navigators will arrange a call back.
