Statement from Tameside Council Executive Leader Cllr Eleanor Wills

Councillor Eleanor Wills, Executive Leader of Tameside Council, said: “To everyone in Tameside, I make this promise: we hear your frustration, and change is coming. My new team and I are listening, and whilst the challenge ahead is huge, so is the opportunity.”

Councillor Wills added: “We need strategic and cultural change, not just in Children’s Services but right across the council. With the support of my Group and other members, officers, strategic partners and the Commissioner, we will take bold steps to improve outcomes for our children.”
