TAMESIDE Carers Centre are hosting an event to empower Carers with information on their legal rights, what they’re entitled to and how to access local support.
The theme for Carers Rights Day 2024 is ‘Recognising your Rights’ and Tameside Carers Centre are hosting a drop-in event on Thursday 21 November from 10am until 12noon. People and professionals are invited to access in-person support from a variety of local services and organisations including:
Free legal support around Wills, Trusts, and Power of Attorney provided by Epseminars.
Council tax, housing benefits and benefits support from Tameside Exchequer Services.
Tameside Adult Social Care
Pension Credit support and benefit checks form Tameside Welfare Rights Service.
MIND Peer Support
Tameside’s Transition Team (Children’s to Adults Services)
Tameside Population Health
Bridges Domestic Abuse Support
Executive Member for Adult Social Care Councillor John Taylor said: ‘’Tameside’s Carers are the unsung heroes of our communities, caring selflessly for family and friends. If you’re a Carer please come along for help to understand your legal rights and other support, you may be entitled to.’’
