This year’s Pride of Tameside Business Awards brought together the borough’s finest talent at a spectacular ceremony held at Dukinfield Town Hall.

The annual event, supported by sponsors including Greater Manchester Business Growth Hub and Visual Architects, celebrates the outstanding achievements of businesses across the borough. Each award category is sponsored by a different local business committed to celebrating enterprise and innovation and offering support to each other.

Special recognition should also be given to Tameside College, Robertsons Facilities Management and Brand Twelve, whose fantastic contributions in both the planning and running of the event were instrumental to its success.

Hosted by the inspirational Paralympian Dame Sarah Storey, the evening was a true celebration of the outstanding achievements of Tameside’s business community. With hundreds of local businesses and stakeholders in attendance, the event really highlighted the strength, innovation, resilience, and camaraderie that define the borough’s enterprising spirit.

This year’s Special Recognition Award was presented to Lynn Kerfoot MBE, who has dedicated over 50 years to the manufacturing industry at Newland Engineering Co. Lynn has blazed a remarkable trail for other women in the industry after going from Secretary to Managing Director and overcoming industry challenges, offering both encouragement and support to others in a traditionally male dominated industry.

Tameside Council Executive Leader Cllr Eleanor Wills said: “The Pride of Tameside Business Awards are a chance for us to highlight and recognise all of the fantastic businesses and charities across the borough across all sectors. It was an incredibly special evening offering an insight and highlight into some of the best and most enterprising talent our borough has to offer. It was inspirational to hear the stories of all the dedicated businesses and charities that are integral to our local economy, we are always proud supporters and aim to champion their achievements and growth across the region.”
