Date Released - 17/06/2025

Hattersley is set to host a Jobs and Training Fair this summer, offering local job seekers the chance to connect directly with a wide range of employers and training providers.

Tameside Council’s Employment and Skills Team has partnered with Onward Homes to deliver this free event aimed at helping residents discover new vacancies, training pathways, and career development opportunities.

Everyone is welcome to attend at The Hattersley Hub, SK14 6NT on Tuesday 8 July, from 11am to 3pm. This is a free event and open to all across Tameside and the wider area.

Attendees will benefit from expert support, including personalised CV and interview advice, application guidance, and tailored tips to help elevate their career prospects.

Opportunities will be available across sectors such as housing, healthcare, nursing, sales, and apprenticeships. Employers attending on the day include NHS Tameside & Glossop Integrated Care, RVA Surveyors, First Steps Together, Home Instead, and Tameside Council teams offering a wide variety of roles including engineering and adult commissioning.

Tameside Council Executive Member for Lifelong Learning and Culture Cllr Leanne Feeley said: “This event supports the ongoing regeneration projects, as well as the further development of the district centre and already carried out by the work and skills coach in the area, to provide opportunities and support for the local community. There is a huge range of expertise and knowledge available to help residents discover new careers and roles.

“We’re encouraging residents to take advantage of this opportunity and come along where a new career, job or skills development opportunity could be waiting.”
