Over 100 residents took the opportunity to link up with a variety of employers and training providers at the first ever Hattersley Jobs Fair.
Tameside Council’s Employment and Skills team partnered with Onward to organise the event at Hattersley Hub on 8 July, giving residents the chance to speak with a range of organisations about live vacancies and support. Hyde Group, Home Start, Robertsons and many other teams attended to connect with potential candidates.
Residents also received job application advice, CV tips and interview tricks to help best position them in landing a role.
Tameside Council Executive Member for Lifelong Learning and Culture Cllr Leanne Feeley said: “It was excellent to see such a great turnout for one of the first Jobs and Training Fairs in Hattersley. We truly hope all attendees found it useful and beneficial in some way.
“These events are essential in creating a space to help connect our residents with great opportunities. There was lots of support and advice available for attendees, so it was fantastic to see so many people get involved.”
