YOUNG musicians from Tameside Music Service are set to collaborate with Manchester Camerata to perform two free concerts for all residents.
The special performances will take place on Sunday 5 October, with the first at 12.30pm and the second at 2.30pm at Stalybridge Civic Hall. The concerts are open to all, with no booking required.
The concerts will feature a joyful mix of classical and contemporary music performed by talented young musicians from Tameside Music Service and Manchester Camerata, aiming to uplift and inspire the community.
Tameside Music Service works with over 7,000 young people and adults across the borough to teach, inspire and equip music makers in Tameside to take their next steps in their musical journey.
The lunchtime performances are part of the five-day “Here We Are” tour across Greater Manchester, organised by Manchester Camerata to celebrate connection, creativity and community.
The aim of the tour is to make world-class music accessible to local audiences by bringing it directly to all 10 districts across Greater Manchester.
Tameside Council’s Executive Member for Lifelong Learning and Culture, Cllr Leanne Feeley said: “It’s wonderful to see such young, talented musicians have the opportunity to showcase their musical gifts.
“Thank you to those who have organised this event and to Tameside Music Service for giving our young people the space to grow, learn and express themselves through music.
“If you’re able to join us, don’t miss the chance to be part of such a positive afternoon!”
