People With Learning Disabilities and/or who are Autistic in Tameside Invited to Have Their Say at The Big Chat

ADULTS with learning disabilities and/or are Autistic, their parents and carers are invited to have their say on support at an event at Tameside Wellness Centre, which includes a range of information stalls and fun activities.

Tameside Council’s Adult Services and partners including Active Tameside are hosting The Big Chat, an event for people to share their views on how local services can improve support, advocacy, belonging and good health.

The drop-in style event takes place on Thursday 16 October 2025 at Tameside Wellness Centre, Lance Corporal Andrew Breeze Way, Denton, M34 3RD.

Between 10am and 3pm alongside sharing their views people can connect with others through fun activities including swimming, a pony patch, a session with Tameside Music Service, crafts, dancing, yoga, tai-chi, and bowling.

There will also be health and wellbeing consultations taking place with Let’s talk Boobs at 10:30am and 1:30pm.

The Big Chat is a great opportunity for you to share your views, talk to local support services and get involved with a range of fun activities.’’
