Carers in Tameside Encouraged to Have their Say in National Survey

Date Released - 20/10/2025

PEOPLE who look after someone may be selected to take part in the National Adult Carers Survey and Tameside Carers Centre are encouraging people to take part and have their say on local support.

From Monday 20 of October 2025, a random selection of people who provide informal and/or unpaid support to a partner, family member, friend or neighbour will receive a survey by post.

The National Adult Carers Survey has been developed to learn more about whether services are helping people in their caring role, their life outside of caring, and their perception of the services provided to the person they care for.

Executive Member for Adult Social Care Cllr John Taylor said: ‘’If you look after a loved one and this survey lands on your doorstep, I really urge you to take part. Your feedback will help us to understand the impact caring has on you and make improvements to local services. If you have any questions, please get in touch with our friendly Carers team who will be happy to help.’’

Tameside Council’s Carer’s Centre is based in The People Place at Tameside One in Ashton-under-lyne, OL6 6BH.
