Creative activities and sessions held for teens to meet-up in Tameside Libraries

Date Released - 12/01/2026

Tameside Libraries are hosting ‘Teen Meet-up Sessions’ for local teenagers to come together, get creative, and socialise.

Funded by Tameside Council and Know Your Neighbourhood, Ashton Library and Droylsden Library are offering a series of workshops, where teens can take part in unique creative sessions and craft their own personalised items.

Across January, February, and March the sessions will led by artist Caroline Coates, providing fun, hands-on experiences in a welcoming space.

Teens can make their own book cover, use graffiti-style lettering to create unique artworks, create homewares, decorations or even jewellery from eco resin, and learn screen printing techniques to customize their own bag.

The group meet up every second Tuesday of the month. See details of the sessions below:

Tameside Council Executive Member for Lifelong Learning and Culture Cllr Leanne Feeley said: “We want to offer young people a positive space to socialise and try new things. The sessions are free, so I hope as many teens as possible take up the opportunity to come along and try something creative and fun.”
