Hundreds of Tameside residents will be able to explore new employment opportunities at the Spring Jobs Fair.
A wide range of employers and services will join Tameside Council’s Employment and Skills team at Dukinfield Town Hall, SK16 4LA, on Wednesday 1 April. The free event is open to residents of all ages from across Tameside to come along and drop in between 10am to 1pm.
The Jobs Fair is held twice a year and has live vacancies which attendees can apply for on the day, as well as training, support, and skills providers who will be on hand to help people with their employment journey.
Potential vacancies and upskilling opportunities will cover a variety of sectors and include both full-time and part-time roles.
This will include the in-work progression support provided by ‘Tameside In Work’ and the supported employment service ‘Routes to Work’ as well as training providers.
Support on offer includes CV advice, job application guidance, and interview support, to help residents best secure new positions.
Employers attending include Tameside & Glossop NHS, Hyde Group, Metroline, Army Royal Artillery, and many of Tameside Council’s teams. The Fair aims to link local talent with available roles, providing benefits for both employers and those looking for new positions.
Tameside Council Executive Member for Lifelong Learning and Culture, Councillor Leanne Feeley said: “I’m thrilled that the Jobs Fair is returning after the huge success of previous events.
“I encourage anyone interested to take advantage of the valuable opportunity to speak directly with employers and receive advice from experts.
“Come along and let us support you in finding a role perfect for you.”
