JOB opportunities for support workers in adult social care will be showcased at a series of upcoming sessions, where residents are invited to meet the team and learn more about the role.
Tameside Council’s Reablement Service is offered for up to 6 weeks, this is short-term non chargeable support provided at home, giving people the opportunity to regain lost skills after a spell in hospital or illness.
Within this service, support workers help people to succeed and achieve their personal goals by building relationships with the people they support. In this role, you will need to work creatively to help people to live well, promoting independence, choice, and resilience.
People interested in the role of a support worker are encouraged to attend one of the below recruitment sessions at Wilshaw House, Ashton-Under-Lyne, OL7 9Q6:
During the sessions people are welcome to talk to members of the team and ask any questions they have about the role. If interested, people can apply and will be contacted if they are shortlisted for interview.
Routes for career progression will be outlined including how you can progress to a Senior Support Worker, Patch Co-ordinator, Assessor, management roles and how you can qualify as a Social Worker.
