The Pride of Tameside Business Awards will return in 2026, with the date now confirmed and businesses are invited to get involved.
Organised by Tameside Council, the awards will take place on Friday 9 October at Dukinfield Town Hall. The event will bring together businesses, partners, and local organisations to celebrate the success and hard work of companies across the borough.
The awards recognise the people and businesses helping Tameside grow, while also giving organisations a chance to promote what they do and show their support for the local community.
The event is made possible thanks to sponsors, and it is a great way to raise your profile, support a positive local event, and connect with other businesses and partners. There are different options available, including sponsoring an award category or becoming a main event sponsor with many supports already having signed up to be involved again this year.
This year’s sponsors already included GM Business Growth Hub, event décor partners Visual Architects, Brand12, Red Rock, Bennett Staff, Tameside College, AC Group, showing the strong support from across the local business community.
The awards cover a wide range of sectors including manufacturing, digital, retail, construction, and social enterprise, showing the strength and variety of businesses in Tameside.
Councillor Andrew McLaren, Tameside Council’s Executive Member for Growth, Housing and Homelessness, said: “The Pride of Tameside Business Awards are a fantastic way to celebrate the amazing work of businesses across our borough. Our business community plays a key role in supporting local people and creating jobs, and these awards help shine a light on that. We are grateful to our sponsors for their support, and I would encourage businesses of all sizes to get involved in nominating their business this year.”
Janine Smith, Director at GM Business Growth Hub, said: “We are proud to support the Pride of Tameside Business Awards and celebrate the businesses making a real difference across the borough. Tameside has a strong and growing business community, and these awards are a terrific way to recognise the hard work, ideas and ambition that help it succeed.”
Lefteris, CEO of Visual Architects added: We are delighted to once again support the Pride of Tameside Business Awards as the event décor partner. Having been honoured to win an award ourselves at a previous ceremony, we know first-hand how important it is to celebrate the incredible businesses, organisations and individuals that make Tameside such a vibrant and inspiring place to work and do business. We look forward to helping create a memorable evening and celebrating the achievements of this year's finalists and winners.”
Businesses interested in sponsoring the 2026 Pride of Tameside Business Awards are encouraged to register their interest as soon as possible as there are limited packages available. More details on categories, nominations and ticket sales will be shared soon.
