Residents across Tameside are invited to attend a free Together for Tameside drop-in event, bringing local organisations together to provide practical support and advice.
Taking place on Friday 3 July, from 10am to 1pm at Hyde Town Hall (10 Corporation Street, SK14 1AL), the event is open to anyone aged 16 and over living in Tameside who is currently unemployed.
Attendees will have the opportunity to speak directly with local teams and access support on a wide range of topics. These include employment opportunities, volunteering, benefits, housing, finances, health and wellbeing, digital skills, and community activities.
The event connects residents with the services available locally and helps them take positive next steps towards employment, improved wellbeing, and greater community involvement.
Cllr Leanne Feeley, Tameside Council Executive Member for Lifelong Learning and Culture, said: “Events like this are all about making support easy to access and bringing opportunities closer to our residents. Together for Tameside gives our residents the chance to speak directly with local organisations, get tailored advice, and take positive steps towards employment and improved wellbeing. I’d encourage anyone currently out of work to come along and see what support is available.”
