Creative community groups invited to apply for new grant funding

ARTISTS, performers, creative groups, and organisations can apply for funding to deliver a new creative project in Tameside that brings together people and communities.

Tameside Council is offering grants of up to £1,500 to help artists, groups and creative organisations run exciting new projects across the borough.

These grants are supported by the UK Government through the Economic Development and Regeneration Flexible Grant (ED&RFG) programme.

What is the grant for?

To support projects that:

Projects must take place in Tameside, finish before 28 February 2027 and be accessible to everyone. It must also be creative, exciting, and high quality and to encourage footfall and more people to visit Tameside.

Tameside Council’s Executive Member for Lifelong Learning and Culture, Cllr Leanne Feeley said: "This is a fantastic opportunity for local organisations, artists and community groups to bring their creative ideas to life. We know that arts and culture play an important role in making Tameside a vibrant place to live and visit. We encourage anyone with a project that celebrates creativity, brings people together, and helps showcase the best of our borough to get involved and apply."

If your project is successful, you will need to complete a short evaluation at the end to report how your project went.
