PLANS for new housing, sports facilities and a park on land between Dane Bank Primary School and Windsor Road in Denton will go on show later this month (20 and 23 September).
The proposals, which are being developed by Tameside Council alongside architects and planners PLANIT IE, could see up to £2 million invested in community benefits including:
Two public consultation events will be held this month. Both will take place at Denton West Cricket Club where the proposals will be on display and members of the project team will be on hand to answer questions.
The first will be on Wednesday, 20 September (3 to 8pm) and the second on Saturday, 23 September (10am to 3pm).
Tameside Council’s First Deputy Councillor Jim Fitzpatrick, explained:
“We’ve been working alongside PLANIT IE to develop proposals which will bring real benefit to people. This has involved regular engagement with organisations, including the sports clubs, to make sure our proposals are right for the local community.
“We are now in a position to share these plans and ask people what they think. All feedback we receive will be carefully considered and allow us to further refine and improve these proposals.
“I’d encourage anyone with an interest in the land between Windsor Road and Dane Bank Primary School to attend one of these consultation events and let us know what they think.”
Brochures with freepost feedback forms will be distributed around the area to offer residents a further opportunity to participate.
For more information, they also can call the consultation hotline: 0844 800 2441.
