CLLR Joyce Bowerman, the Civic Mayor of Tameside, is looking for teams to take part in a charity golf day to be held at Denton Golf Club on Friday, May 11.
All proceeds go to the Mayor’s Charity Appeal Fund which includes Tameside 4 Good, Marie Curie, the Mesothelioma UK Charitable Trust and the Anthony Seddon Fund.
The competition, which starts at noon, is a four-person Stableford team event (best two scores to count) with a ¾ handicap allowance. There is a handicap limit of 24 for men and 28 for women. Prizes will be awarded for first, second and third place, for the longest drive, and for nearest the pin on selected holes.
Entrance is £160 per team including a three-course dinner. Teams can be mixed but must have four players.
Cllr Bowerman said: “I’m sure it will be a great day and a great chance to raise money for some very special charities that are close to my heart and which make a huge difference to the people of Tameside.”
