Could you be an Apprenticeship Ambassador? Tameside Council is launching the Tameside Apprenticeship Ambassador Programme (TAAP); a great initiative designed to raise awareness of apprenticeships by giving employers and real apprentices (past and present) the opportunity to share their inspiring stories in schools, colleges, workshops, business events and more.
Changing the perception of Apprenticeships along with ensuring Tameside residents and businesses know there are a number of viable pathways to a career, Further and Higher education is a key part of Tameside Council’s Employment and Skills action plan. We need residents and employers to lead the way!
We are seeking local employers and apprentices (16-65yrs), past and present from all levels and roles to become members of TAAP. It’s an exciting and rewarding opportunity to engage, inspire and inform promising young people, residents of all ages and employers about the benefits of apprenticeships.
All ambassadors need is a willingness to share their real-life apprenticeship and/or apprenticeship employer journey, showcase their talent/achievements and share the value of apprenticeships borough-wide. Ambassadors will have the chance to address a variety of audiences, develop presentations, network and promote the companies investing in their future.
Why not inspire future apprentices or empower a local business to take on their first apprentice? This could be you!
