Information Fair Empowers Tameside’s Carers

This Carers Rights Day the Tameside Carers Centre are hosting an information fair to raise awareness of the support available to those who care for someone.

Carers Rights Day takes place on Thursday 23 November and raises awareness of the support available to those who provide informal and unpaid support to a partner, family member, friend or neighbour. This may be due to due to illness, disability, physical or mental health issue. Carers Rights Day also aims help people identify themselves as a Carer entitled to support.

Tameside Carers Centre is hosting this event 11am to 1pm on Thursday the 23rd of November at The Carers Centre, The People Place at Tameside One, OL6 6BH.

Those who care for someone – or support someone who is a Carer including family or in their work– are welcome to attend.

The information fair will host a range of organisations and services including:

Tameside Carers Centre provides personalised emotional and practical support to those who care for someone. This includes help with Carers Assessments, benefit entitlements, signposting to services, wellbeing support and more. Drop-in support takes place throughout the week at the Carers Centre in The People Place and coffee mornings take place monthly.
