Anti-social Behaviour Policy Consultation Launched

Date Released - 03/04/2024

TAMESIDE Council has a launched a 12-week consultation on the draft of its new anti-social behaviour policy.

The consultation offers residents the chance to express their views and to highlight any issues they feel need to be included.

The draft policy sets out the council’s commitment to reducing anti-social behaviour and improving the quality of life for local people. Its aim is to give residents clarity around how cases of anti-social behaviour are investigated and tackled, and provide confidence to victims and witnesses to report anti-social behaviour in their communities.

A Tameside Council spokesperson said: “Our new policy underlines our commitment to reducing anti-social behaviour and improving not only our residents’ quality of life, but that of visitors and those who come to the borough for work or education.

“The consultation feedback received will be used to increase our understanding of how residents feel about anti-social behaviour, and it will influence the final version of the policy.”

The survey, which will remain open until Thursday, June 20, can be found at www.surveymonkey.com/r/tmbcasbpolicy.
